La sua ricerca nasce dall’osservazione e dall’incontro, quasi per contagio, con scritture, segni dipinti, tracce e segni del tempo.
Passeggiare per le vie della città, attraversare la campagna, la solitudine, i luoghi dell’industria significa per Ferrari immergersi nella stratificazione delle epoche e delle storie. Ogni superficie diventa una pagina: muri, materiali, insegne, segni e cancellature raccontano il passaggio del tempo e la continua trasformazione della materia.
La fotografia diventa così uno strumento di ascolto e di lettura. Non cerca semplicemente ciò che è visibile, ma le contaminazioni che emergono dall’incontro tra tempi diversi, memorie, gesti umani e materia.
È proprio in questa capacità di osservare ciò che resta — e ciò che sta lentamente scomparendo — che si sviluppa la parte più intrigante della sua ricerca.

His research stems from observation and encounters, almost by contagion, with writings, painted signs, traces, and signs of time.
Walking through city streets, crossing the countryside, the solitude of solitude, and industrial sites means for Ferrari immersing himself in the stratification of eras and histories. Every surface becomes a page: walls, materials, signs, marks, and erasures recount the passage of time and the continuous transformation of matter.
